'Wintertime' - Bowes Park Community Choir concert

Our concert title 'Wintertime' comes from the beautiful 17th-century Huron Carol - also known as 'Twas in the Moon of Wintertime. This year we're singing a varied autumn-to-winter programme, with some pop favourites, including Bohemian Rhapsody (marking its 50th anniversary) and Fun Fun Fun; the classic Autumn Leaves; the Cantique de Jean Racine; folk melody Lady of Autumn and Pata Pata from South Africa. The second half features a few less familiar but wonderful carols, including The Rose Carol and lively Tres Reyes Van (a Cuban dance tune). We have 2 very talented violinists - Zachary Bacon Darwin and Noah Hacking - from Haringey Young Musicians (our concert charity) performing in our Interlude. And there will be an opportunity for the audience to join us in some carolling. Our guests are invited to join the choir after the performance for complimentary drinks and mince pies.
