In remembrance of this tragic event, Ashington & District Male Voice choir have created a special programme of heritage music that pays tribute to the great sacrifice paid by the men who worked underground at Woodhorn Colliery. The choir will perform this special programme twice on the anniversary of the Disaster, at 11am and 1.30pm on Thursday 13th August 2026.
