North London Chorus concert

The centrepiece of our concert is Elgar's The Music Makers, his tribute to art and artists from 1912 and is paired with Brahms' beautiful and lyrical Schicksalslied (Song of Destiny). Both works are new to the choir's repertoire and with distinguished mezzo soprano Clare Presland singing the Elgar as well as Mahler's Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen (Song of the Wayfarer), this promises to be a wonderful summer concert, with Murray Hipkin conducting the Meridian Sinfonia in an arrangement for chamber orchestra.
